Falls Festival Lorne: Day 2

Our fashion favourites from Day 2 and more.

After a freezing cold night in our makeshift tent, the sun rose on the second day of Falls 2013. Our day started early, seeing Sydneysider Oliver Tank perform his dreamy electro music, before setting off to explore The Village – the arts and culture centre of the festival. We spotted a yoga class in full swing, a makeshift carousel made out of vintage looking bikes, various market stalls and a ten minute dance hall, showing there’s plenty to entertain yourself with between music breaks.

After lazing around in the sunshine for most of the afternoon, we rugged up and headed back to the stages for an evening of big acts. We thought that almost everyone at the festival was grooving to Chet Faker, until we headed over to watch RÜFÜS and saw even more people cramming themselves into the tent to catch the indie dance trio. While all were fantastic, the musical highlight of Day 2 was definitely from one of my favourite bands – The Wombats, as they played a buzzing, highly charged set into the early hours of the final full day of the Falls Festival.

While we were enjoying the great music, we managed to squeeze in a bit of fashion gazing. Denim, clashing floral prints and shimmer were spotted around the Falls Festival Day 2, with these festival goers catching our eye with their unique twists on the popular trends.
